Anne Williams, ABMP’s director of education and author of Massage Mastery: from Student to Professional, spoke recently with the Wall Street Journal about the ways athletes use massage and bodywork for recovery.
Explaining that massage and bodywork is more than an indulgence, Williams says, “It really should be viewed as a ticket to feeling the best you can.” In the article, “Recovery Techniques for Athletes,” Williams describes the techniques and benefits behind five types of bodywork: massage, dry needling, cupping, acupuncture, and Rolfing.
