We’re in an exciting period of development as an organization, and especially in our service to schools and students.
From 1996 through around 2006, one of my duties for ABMP was visiting massage therapy programs. Since becoming president of ABMP in 2006, my duties have multiplied and some activities have been retired, including getting out on the road and relating to schools—until now, that is.

A sweet, little story caught my attention this week. It reminded me of the impact of human kindness and the importance of the little things we do in life.
When massage and bodywork royalty gather, I always enjoy watching and learning from one of the quietest individuals in the room—Benny Vaughn. He’s one of the most unassuming, yet one of the most impressive of them all. And, October 10th he’ll hold a celebration and seminar celebrating his 40th anniversary in the massage therapy profession.
We received exciting news at our ABMP offices last week when Massage & Bodywork magazine was nominated in several categories for Folio’s Eddie and Ozzie Awards—the publishing industry’s largest and most prestigious editorial and design contest.
