The National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) has announced that Christopher Deery, LMT, BCTMB, will serve as NCBTMB Certification Board president, effective March 1, 2025.
Deery is an accomplished practitioner of massage therapy, having worked in different settings including spa, physical therapy clinics, and private practice. He has been board certified for more than two decades.
“Christopher Deery brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership skills to NCBTMB along with a passion for elevating the massage therapy profession,” says Dolly Wallace, current NCBTMB president.
Deery will lead a five-member certification board, which ensures that NCBTMB maintains its status as an accredited certifying body within the massage therapy profession.
“It is with deep gratitude and a profound sense of responsibility that I accept the presidency of the NCBTMB,” Deery says. “I am truly honored to serve this remarkable community of massage therapy professionals. I look forward to continuing to work with our dedicated board, staff, and stakeholders to build a stronger, more vibrant future for therapeutic massage and bodywork.”
