The new year brings with it some important continuing education (CE) changes. Beginning January 6, 2025, the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) will no longer be confirming CE credits before you renew your massage therapy license.
Instead, you may be selected for a random audit by the TDLR to prove you’ve fulfilled the necessary 12 CE hours that are required every two years. To prevent an administrative penalty, ABMP encourages you to make sure you complete your CE and maintain records and certificates. If you have questions about this new process, please contact TDLR.
Let us help you learn and earn CE today! TDLR accepts online CE courses in subject matter other than massage therapy technique or soft-tissue manipulation. All ABMP members have access to over 400 hours of free, carefully curated continuing education in the ABMP Education Center, while ABMP Certified members have access to over 750 CE hours.
