Your voice, experience, and industry knowledge are invaluable assets to your practice, and they may be complementary contributions to the Oregon Massage Board of Massage Therapists (Board). The Board is currently recruiting for the following committees:
- Rules
- Continuing Education
- Scope of Practice
This is an excellent opportunity to combine the massage community’s collective viewpoints, visions, and hopes for Oregon. We encourage you to apply—serving on a board committee is a way to become more engaged in the profession and learn about state government.
Member Responsibilities
Committee members have varied responsibilities, which include:
- Rules committee: Assist the Board by preparing statements of need and fiscal impacts when there are rules changes and review rules and statutes for language/content consistency
- Continuing education committee: Evaluate and review educational requirements of board-certified classes or programs to ensure minimum competencies for licensees
- Scope of practice committee: Evaluate new and current practiced modalities and how they relate to the practice of massage
