Once a new year begins, should we swipe the slate clean or are some things worthy of extending into a new year? Early in January, the Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing issued a proposed rule impacting massage therapy continuing education and wants you to weigh in on whether LMTs should be able to retain surplus training.
The proposed rule would allow a massage therapist to carry over up to 50 percent of excess completed continuing education hours from a previous renewal cycle. For example, if you completed more CE than the required 16 hours, you could carry over up to eight hours of CE into the next two-year renewal cycle.
