House Bill 839 (HB 839) would implement the Interstate Massage Compact, simplifying interstate massage therapy practice and regulation with the goal of reducing unnecessary burdens related to licensure by endorsement or reciprocity. ABMP is in favor of HB 839. We need your help to reduce long processing times and ensure safe, competent, and reliable massage therapy services to the public before HB 839 is tabled.

In August and October of 2015 we notified all of our Georgia members via email about changes to Georgia's continuing education rules.  The text of those message is below, for your reference.  Again, these changes were made in 2015 and the information was emailed to members then.  These are not new 2016 changes.

There Will Be No Change to CE Requirements in Georgia

You may recall that ABMP sent an email to Georgia members on November 19, 2014, letting you know that the Georgia Board of Massage Therapy would be considering a proposal to amend the rule regarding Continuing Education (CE) on December 5, 2014. If adopted, the Board would no longer accept continuing education in the modalities of structural integration, reflexology, movement practices, and energy practices.

If adopted, the Board would no longer accept continuing education in the modalities of structural integration, reflexology, movement practices, and energy practices.
