My passion is to seek out new experiences. I love learning new things and having new adventures. Graphic Design allows me to take inspiration from the most unexpected places, bring together all of my different interests, and incorporate all sorts of different art forms. The most exciting part of design for me, is allowing the project to inform the process and finally seeing an idea come to life on the page or screen. I take pride in executing a project with a high level of craft and bringing a sense of playfulness to every design.

Though not a native Coloradoan, Darren has lived in the Centennial State since 1996, when his life was transformed by seeing Boulder for the first time. Now a Denverite, he golfs, snowboards, bikes, hikes, and camps (as all are required by state law) in the 300-plus days of mountain sunshine. Born and raised in Kentucky, he’s lived in each of the time zones in the continental United States, preferring the Pacific most of all. Darren studied English literature at Vanderbilt University (BA) and the University of Kentucky (MA), specializing in Romantic and Southern Literature, and still roots for the Wildcats, and now the Denver Nuggets and the Liverpool Reds, in his free time.
