Congratulations to ABMP member Melissa Hagin who won a free year of ABMP membership at the spring American Massage Conference in Atlanta. The giveaway was part of a larger fundraising effort by Massage Warehouse Sanctuary for the Liddle Kidz Foundation and the Touch Research Institute, with the two being awarded $5,100 and $6,200 respectively. (Massage Warehouse Sanctuary is the philanthropic arm of Massage Warehouse.) Hagin tells us the prize was very timely: her membership had expired after the birth of her baby. Now, back at work, she was ready to renew. Massage Warehouse also gave its Ultimate New Graduate Award to the College of Southern Maryland during ABMP’s School Issues Forum In April.
