Video Course: Pediatric Massage: Highlighting the Effects of Trauma
Tina Allen
The impact of child abuse and trauma is far greater than its immediate effects. These experiences can shape a child’s development and have consequences that last for years beyond the actual event. Research shows that the physical, psychological, and behavioral consequences of child abuse and neglect impact not just the child and family, but the community as a whole. With appropriate safe and effective interventions, we can provide children with compassion, nurturing, and tools to ease the effects of trauma.
