Be a fly on the wall for this candid interview with famed osteopath Leon Chaitow, one of the organizers of the International Fascial Congress and author of over 60 books on health and manual medicine. We'll discuss recent scientific finds in the area of massage and physical medicine and look at how the application of those findings can help therapists become more effective at addressing the root of their clients' pain. We'll also explore the latest developments in neuromuscular therapy, look at the odd relationship between massage and pelvic pain, and raise the question as to whether there is still value in the old-fashioned back rub.

A practicing naturopath, osteopath, and acupuncturist in the United Kingdom, with over 40 years clinical experience, Dr. Chaitow was editor-in-chief, of the Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies. He regularly lectured in the United States, as well as Europe, where he instructed physiotherapists, osteopaths, chiropractors, and massage therapists. He was a senior lecturer at London's University of Westminster on courses in therapeutic bodywork and naturopathy. In 1993, he became the first naturopath/osteopath to be appointed as consultant to a UK government-funded conventional medical practice. He helped organize the First International Fascia Research Congress in 2007 at the Harvard Medical School.
