Video Course: Cornerstones 15: Core Principles of Developmental Feedback
Cindy Williams
Giving and receiving developmental feedback is essential to learning massage. Most massage programs don’t focus on how to give and receive feedback, and yet it is an essential component of a massage session (both asking for feedback from a client and teaching clients how to give feedback in order to get the best session possible). This course, the 15th in Cornerstones: The ABMP Instructor Development Program, aims to provide guidelines for giving and receiving developmental feedback while building affective and interpersonal skills in learners. You will learn that when students become excellent feedback givers, they support the instructor’s teaching efforts and solidify knowledge and skill within themselves by having to think through the criteria they are evaluating. Feedback becomes a learning experience.
